Welcome to the website of the First Presbyterian Church in Defuniak Springs. I assume that by opening this site you are interested in knowing more about who we are, perhaps in the process of seeking a new church home. The website is designed to give you some basic information about our church, but that cannot take the place of a personal visit, so we hope you will be a part of our worshiping congregation in the very near future.
Our weekly Sunday service is at 11:00.
First Presbyterian Church is presently without a permanent minister and I have the privilege of serving as the interim minister while they are searching for a new permanent one. I served for 26 years as pastor of Trinity Presbyterian Church in Pensacola and, in my retirement, for several years now, I have been serving as interim pastor of churches in north Florida and Alabama. My service in Defuniak Springs began on January 1, 2009. I plan to be with the congregation until a new minister is called. My usual schedule is to be in Defuniak Springs on Sundays and at least one day during the week. I am available for pastoral needs, of course, at any time.
